Today's letters were once again "ough" but today they said "uff" as in rough and enough. Again it was hard to get more than a few words. The students chose three from our completed list to write three times and wrote the date once.
FRENCH
We added pictures of dolphins and rhinos to our collection of Zoo animals for French.
MATH
We kept working on page 270 but also discussed how our Story Problems are slightly different for multiplication. The steps now look like this:
1. Statement #1
Sentence (noun and verb)
Number of groups
2. Statement #2
Sentence (noun and verb)
Number of things in each group
3. Question(noun and verb)
How many altogether? How many in all?
4. C.O.P.S.
Example:

Jessica had three dogs.
Each dog had four legs.
How many dog's legs altogether?
3 x 4 = 12
SCIENCE
We actually spent this class working on our poems. Everyone has a line of their own to learn. I'll send home copies of the poems over Easter.
LIBRARY
Ms. Hatzel read us the new Robert Munsch book about a girl who literally gets put in a book and finds out it's not as neat as she thought it would be.
It is called "Put Me in a Book."

Report cards are due tomorrow. Thanks!
