HANDWRITING
Today the students copied the following riddle, answered it, and solved it.
"What would you find on a haunted beach?"

FRENCH
The students worked on their vocabulary for this unit.

MATH
The students worked with various polygons and became familiar with their proper names.

TRIANGLE - a polygon with 3 sides and 3 corners
QUADRILATERAL - a polygon with 4 sides and 4 corners
PENTAGON - a polygon with 5 sides and 5 corners
HEXAGON - a polygon with 6 sides and 6 corners
OCTAGON - a poly gon with 8 sides and 8 corners

SCIENCE
The students proofread a letter about subsoil, which is the layer where plant's roots go to get nutrients and water. They also read about soil in the prairie provinces of Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Manitoba.

LIBRARY
Today the student's could only take out AR books. All books should be back to the library by next Friday, June 18th.

* The answer to today's riddle is: "A sand-witch."
