HANDWRITING
The students copied the following riddle, tried to answer it, and wrote out the date.
"What job does Count Dracula do for the Transylvanian baseball team?"
MATH
The students finished up the first section on identifying polygons. They learned that polygons don't need to have sides of the same length but they do need the same number of sides to be called a specific polyogn. For example: a triangle must have 3 sides but those sides can be various lengths.
SCIENCE
The students proofread a note about the layer below subsoil which contains no organic matter to help plants grow. We also read about the West Coats region in British Columbia and the Yukon, which has mountains, coastline, and dry arid regions. In the Okanagan valley many fruits are grown and the soil there is very fertile.
MATH
We had some extra Math time.
*The answer to today's riddle is: "He looks after the bats."
