HANDWRITING
Today the student's copied a riddle, answered it, and copied the date.
"What do you take when a monster invites you to dinner?"
FRENCH
The students practiced the insect and hiding place vocabulary and then answered some questions about impossible and possible scenarios.
For example:
La sauterelle saute sur une feuille. (The grasshopper hops on a leaf.) This would be possible.
La fourmis vole sous une pierre. (The ant flies under a rock.) This would be impossible.
MATH
The students finished their Show What You Know review pages and most had time to work on their extra practice booklet for multiplication and division.
SCIENCE
We watched a BrainPop on erosion. It discussed how erosion can be caused by wind, running water, waves, and glaciers.
LIBRARY
The students took out books and heard a story about a class who get some chicks and the adventures which occur as a result.
* Tomorrow is Track & Field (attempt number two). Remember your sunscreen, bug spray, hat, runners, and lunch or money for the booth.
* The answer to today's riddle: You take someone who can't run as fast as you can.
